Thanks to the showing of Spider-Man 2 on Friday, June 17, the
community came together for an evening of family fun. Almost
100 cars came to the drive-in movie event that was the first
for the town for more than a quarter of a century.
The event was a joint project of the Hinsdale Library Foundation
in conjunction with the Hinsdale Public Library, the Village
of Hinsdale Park and Recreation Department and the Hinsdale Central
High School Foundation .
Everyone who attended was treated to the adventures of Spider-Man
2 on a 45-foot screen in the parking lot of the Hinsdale Central
High School . The concession stand did a steady business.
Although the movie was free, donations were gladly accepted
by the gatekeepers. Many thanks go out to all those individuals
who made donations.
